Flora
Pig Face is a genus of ground-creeping plants with succulent leaves and large daisy-like flowers.
In general, Pig Face prefers open, sandy spaces where it forms a dense underground network of wiry, long roots.
Pig Face is often used as groundcover due to its rapid growth, dense habit and dune stabilising features. Its fruit is enjoyed by many animals, and this is how the species’ spread its seeds.
The juice from the leaves of this plant can be used to help soothe jellyfish or bluebottle stings.
